A real life replicator?

Scientists in Russia have developed a process of assembling atoms with precision using a nanometer scale pinhole camera. Doesn't sound just real exciting until you realize that, yes, this could mean being able to create things out of random collections of atoms.

Of course, you probably won't be able to do this sometime in the fall of 2080, but hey... something to look forward to, no?
