Pret-a-porter with Cynthia Dunbar
Yeah, I think I'll let the elegance of Cynthia herself carry this post.
Dunbar (on p. 100) calls public education a “subtly deceptive tool of perversion.” She charges that the establishment of public schools is unconstitutional and even “tyrannical” because it threatens the authority of families, granted by God through Scripture, to direct the instruction of their children (p. 103). Dunbar, who has home-schooled her children and sent them to private schools, bases that charge on her belief that “the underlying authority for our constitutional form of government stems directly from biblical precedents.” (p. xv)

I direct Ms. Nutbar's attention to Article VII of the Texas Constitution, which charges ". . . it shall be DUTY OF THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE to establish and make suitable provision for the support and maintenance of an efficient system of public free schools" and ask HOW can something that us written into the Constitution be unconstitutional?

You expect her to know The Texas Constitution?!?!?! She doesn't even know the Bible.

Well, yes. I do expect elected officials to have at least a basic familiarity with the Constitution, since they swear an oath to uphold it.

She kinda mumbled through that part. Actually, that's not true... she just thinks the Constitution says what she wants it to say.
