Patron Saint for McBlogger

Being a religious group, it’s hard to believe that this blog does not have a patron saint. With that in mind, and risking eternal damnation of my soul, here is my suggestion.

St. Catherine of Siena. Why Cat?

According to this source and verified by others,

“St Catherine deliberately told popes, queens and kings how to behave. She was spontaneous, unafraid of authority, and fearless in the face of death.”
(that facing death thing is beyond our scope, but we’ll sign off on the concept)

As for her manner of speaking, this is her rebuke to some people who she didn’t care for –

“What made you do this? You are flowers who shed no perfume, but stench that makes the whole world reek.”
Outstanding!

She was a stigmatic, mystic and political activist, and her head is mummified

As an added bonus, her patronage includes the television. How can a 14th century person be noted for that item? Many of her visions were projected on walls. Would she like “My Big Red Neck Wedding” or “World Wrestling Entertainment Raw”? Who knows, but she would absolutely conjure up deadly plagues if she saw “The Hills”.
