Kirk Watson v. Chris Matthews
Just now, on MSNBC... Chris Matthews put TX Sen. Kirk Watson on the spot by asking him to name ANY of Senator Obama's accomplishments in the Senate. He couldn't name one.
Rep. Jones from Ohio promptly jumped in and talked about what Senator Clinton had actually done. Kirk then tried to jump in and pile onto Hillary which went over Rep. Jones the wrong way and Matthews then once again reminded Sen. Watson that the issue was his inability to name Obama's accomplishments. Watson stammered and again talked about vague feelings about Obama (he unites people, he inspires people, he's the candidate of flowers, rainbows and pretty things).
This, of course, follows Sen. Obama stepping on Sen. Clinton's speech after her loss in the Wisconsin primary. Nicely done, Sen. Obama. Good to see that your kindler, gentler politics applies more to Republicans than your fellow Democrats. Keep it civil, Senator. You don't want to get on our bad side. We're meaner than Clinton AND the Republicans and we haven't even been drinking yet.
And Sen. Watson... find out something about the people you endorse! That was just damn embarrassing.

When asked about his accomplishments, I've heard some people say "Well he's run an incredible campaign!" That would be like during a job interview, the interviewer asks you what qualifies you for the job and you respond "I filled out the application."
Wake up Texas!!! We are all counting on you! It is such a shame that people are blaming Bill and Hill for the divisiveness of the 1990s. That divisiveness was, and is, a 100% creation of the ultra-right. It didn't end with Bill. They used it to sink Gore and Kerry and they will use it against Barack. Let me give you a taste of what they will do to him. They will portray his inexperience as being akin to taking a rookie right out of the police academy and making him police chief of Los Angeles. They won't give him a free pass on his past relationships with shady characters like the current press and tv reporters. They will point out that the "slum lord" Obama claimed he barely knew is a Syrian native (Tony Rezco) who has given Barack over $170,000 over the years and has hosted high dollar fund raising events for him. Rezco was indicted in 2005 on corruption and bribery charges, but even after that Barack let the man help him buy a house. Then there is Barak's long and financially entangled relationship with William Ayers, an unapologetic domestic terrorist who has called American Marines "terrorists" and admitted to planting bombs in US federal buildings. He and Barack worked together on the Woods Fund and some of the money raised made it's way to the PLO (surely without Barack's knowledge, but the republicans won't care). Obama also has a relationship with Rashid Khalidi. He is supposedly a PLO activist. These charges actually appear to be true! to see the whole article, go to: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/larry-c-johnson/no-he-cant-because-yes_b_87036.html
Then the republican attack machine will remind us that Obama's middle name is Hussein and his father's family is Muslim and they will paint him as a terrorist sympathizer trying to get into the White House... the ultimate sleeper cell. Obama cannot win in November. I heard McCain say last week that he welcomes Karl Rove's help if Karl wants to work on his campaign. Texas has GOT to be the place to turn this race around for Hillary or we will be swearing in John McCain in Jan 09.
