Tonight, the Lege adjourned sine die. And we couldn't be happier. The faster we can get the likes of Leo Berman, Linda Harper-Brown, Frank Corte and bitch of the universe Jodie Laubenberg out of Austin, the better.
Y'all have a nice drive home. Those of us in Austin are happy to see you go. Go back home and explain yourselves to your pissed off constituents. Explain to them how you sold their roads. Explain to them how you let the insurance companies and electric utilities take advantage of them. Help them to understand how good it is that they don't have health care and that school funding isn't all that important. Trust us, you'll want to get started soon because there are so many groups gunning for y'all it ain't even funny.
No, not us. We may not like you but we hardly have the power to talk directly to your voters. Think of us just as the messenger on this one. Have a fun summer and try, as hard as you can, not to think of how close Krusee was last cycle. Seriously, you're going to want to rest up because the Republican primaries are going to be brutal. Should you survive those, you're going to have a reinvigorated Democratic Party candidate in front of you. And you'll like that even less.
