And you thought Texas was full of nutters...
Republicans have entirely lost touch with reality. At least in Missouri.
A Republican-led legislative panel claims in a new report on illegal immigration that abortion is partly to blame because it is causing a shortage of American workers. The report from the state House Special Committee on Immigration Reform also claims "liberal social welfare policies" have discouraged Americans from working and encouraged immigrants to cross the border illegally.
Wait. Abortion eliminated workers so the immigrants are coming to work. But they are also coming to go on welfare and not work? Yeah, that makes sense... if you're fucking crazy. Methinks they need to start adding thorazine to the drinking water in Republicans precincts in MO.
With a new session of the Lege forthcoming, one has to wonder if any of our homegrown nutters (we're counting on you, John Davis! With Al Edwards and Martha Wong gone, you're our only hope!) will come up with something this stupid.

Obviously there's no Austin Lounge Lizards fans among the Show-Me State GOP; otherwise they'd be more comprehensive and blame those Teenage Immigrant Welfare Mothers on Drugs.
