A few things to feel good about...
On the national front I just saw a press conf with soon to be elected Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi on CNBC. The reaction of the market seems to be mostly ho-hum. Which makes me laugh my ass off...
All in all, we did great nationally and even Texas took a few steps forward. However, there are some notable dissappointments:
You know, it's kind of surreal... when we started getting the numbers in from the EV in West Texas we were tremendously excited. Shaving the margins was an excellent strategy and even with shitty turnout, it worked better that those tried by the 2002 statewides (tremendously better when you realize Hank's budget was less than 100k). The problem with it is that it depends on the metro's to get their shit together. Dallas, El Paso and Travis are good... just need Harris and Bexar to pull head out of ass. Come on, y'all... we need you.
